First Post

Well this is a blog I guess. Neat? Pretty much going to be a useless first post.

Okay maybe not useless, I can try to outline my thoughts regarding and goals for this blog. Basically the main reason I wanted to start a blog was to practice writing and get it somewhere where it could (theoretically) be seen by others. I've always been a pretty private person, especially with regards to my ideas and writings, so this is almost kind of an experiment to see how I do and if maybe anyone might like it.

To get a bit more specific, one of the things that I will likely do here is talk about my opinions about various things that I read and hear about. Usually when I read about something that I actually care about, I think to myself usually about how it's completely wrong and stupid, but generally keep my thoughts to myself. I feel like places like Facebook are kind of...unsuitable for going on rage-filled rants, you know? Like those places seem better for posting pictures of cats and making silly comments about them. Anyway now I have a good place to yell about how wrong everyone else is. Yay!

Also, I thought that it might be fun to write about some of the experiences in life that I've had. One story in particular that I've been thinking about is my (long) time playing World of Warcraft. That might sound kind of stupid and boring, and maybe it will be, but I have lots of very fond memories and interesting stories from WoW, so maybe I'll find some way to make it entertaining. So that might be like a multi-part thing that I work on at some point.

The last thing that I could possibly write about here is my ideas for stories and games that I have. I always found it fun to come up with stupid ideas for games and talk about it with my friends, so that might be a good thing for this blog. Maybe I can get into a habit of writing little one-off short stories about things that inspire me from day to day. That would be good I think.

ANYways, the first thing that I think I'll have to take care of is getting it to actually LOOK half-way decent. I mean I guess it looks alright now, but it's pretty default. I think. Still not entirely sure what it looks like, I guess I'll have to see after I finish this post.

So really who knows what will be in the future of this blog. Maybe it will skyrocket me into fame and fortune, or maybe it will just be me standing on my pedestal yelling at a room full of no one. I kind of like the image of the latter. Probably somewhere in between those two things, though. My BIGGEST hope is simply that, either way, this doesn't become something that I start and then just let fall by the wayside, like so many games in my backlog. SO MANY GAMES.

But we can do it, right brain? You think so? Me too. Maybe. I hope.

Oh well, whatever. Nevermind.
